Can Grade 12 fully replace Grade 7?
In most cases yes — Grade 12 approaches Grade 7 in reducing acids and hot chlorides while being stronger and cheaper. In the most severe high-temperature, high-concentration reducing-acid environments, Grade 7 still has more margin. Evaluate against actual concentration, temperature and crevice conditions.
