What heat treatment is used for X-750 springs?
Spring temper typically uses solution treatment at 1150 °C, ageing at 843 °C for 24 hours, air cool, then 704 °C for 20 hours and air cool (AMS 5698/5699), giving the best relaxation resistance. Structural parts needing higher strength use 980 °C solution plus a 732 °C/620 °C double age.
