Titanium Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V, UNS R56400, equivalent to Chinese TC4) is the most widely used α+β titanium alloy, accounting for over half of global titanium consumption. It pairs high strength, low density and good corrosion resistance, and is the workhorse for aerospace structures and medical devices.
As a manufacturer and global exporter of special alloys since 2012, Shanghai Hangbo Alloy Group Co., Ltd. supplies Titanium Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) as round bars (φ2–600 mm, up to 12 m), plates & sheets (0.5–100 mm thick, up to 2500 mm wide), seamless tubes & pipes (φ6–630 mm OD, 0.5–40 mm wall), forgings & rolled rings (up to 7500 kg, 3500 mm OD), machined parts to your drawings, welding wire & coils (1.0–5.0 mm) — all with EN 10204 3.1 certified material test reports.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose between Ti-6Al-4V and Grade 2?
Choose Grade 2 when corrosion resistance and formability matter most and strength demand is modest (heat exchangers, vessels, seawater piping). Choose Gr5 when strength and weight saving dominate (load-bearing structures, aerospace parts, implants). Gr5 is about 2.6 times stronger, but Gr2 forms and welds more easily and costs less.
What is Ti-6Al-4V ELI and how does it differ from standard Grade 5?
ELI (Extra Low Interstitial) is Grade 23: oxygen is reduced from ≤0.20% to ≤0.13% and iron is lower, giving better fracture toughness, crack-growth resistance and cryogenic toughness. It is used for orthopaedic implants, cryogenic vessels and critical aerospace parts, with slightly lower strength than standard Grade 5.
What forms and sizes are available?
We supply Titanium Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) as round bars (φ2–600 mm, up to 12 m), plates & sheets (0.5–100 mm thick, up to 2500 mm wide), seamless tubes & pipes (φ6–630 mm OD, 0.5–40 mm wall), forgings & rolled rings (up to 7500 kg, 3500 mm OD), machined parts to your drawings, welding wire & coils (1.0–5.0 mm). Custom lengths, tolerances and machining to drawing are available on request.
What is the MOQ and lead time?
MOQ is flexible — trial orders from a single piece are welcome. Stock sizes ship in 3–7 days; custom forgings and machined parts typically 15–35 days depending on quantity and process.
Can you provide third-party inspection and shipping to my port?
Yes. SGS / BV / TUV or your nominated inspector can witness all tests before shipment. Full export documentation is provided, and we ship worldwide by sea or air on FOB, CIF or DDP terms.
