Inconel 600 (UNS N06600) is a solid-solution strengthened nickel-chromium-iron alloy with at least 72% nickel and 14–17% chromium. It combines high-temperature oxidation resistance, resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking and good hot/cold workability, making it a classic choice for furnace components, chemical equipment and nuclear parts.
As a manufacturer and global exporter of special alloys since 2012, Shanghai Hangbo Alloy Group Co., Ltd. supplies Inconel 600 as round bars (φ2–600 mm, up to 12 m), plates & sheets (0.5–100 mm thick, up to 2500 mm wide), seamless tubes & pipes (φ6–630 mm OD, 0.5–40 mm wall), precision strip (0.02–3.0 mm, ±0.005 mm tolerance), welding wire & coils (1.0–5.0 mm), forgings & rolled rings (up to 7500 kg, 3500 mm OD) — all with EN 10204 3.1 certified material test reports.

Frequently asked questions
How does Inconel 600 differ from 304 or 316L stainless steel?
Inconel 600 contains about 72% nickel versus roughly 8% in 304 and 10% in 316L. The high nickel makes it virtually immune to chloride stress-corrosion cracking and lets it resist oxidation above 1000 °C, while 300-series stainless risks SCC in chlorides above about 60 °C and is generally limited to 870 °C in air.
Which standards cover Inconel 600 mill products?
ASTM B166 for bar, B168 for plate/sheet/strip, B167 for seamless tube, B564 for forgings, plus AMS 5540/5665 for aerospace. Hangbo supplies to these specifications with EN 10204 3.1 certification.
Is Inconel 600 weldable and which filler metal should be used?
Yes. ERNiCr-3 (Inconel 82) is the standard TIG/MIG filler; submerged arc uses ENiCrFe-3 wire with a matched flux. Clean the joint thoroughly and keep interpass temperature below 150 °C.
What forms and sizes are available?
We supply Inconel 600 as round bars (φ2–600 mm, up to 12 m), plates & sheets (0.5–100 mm thick, up to 2500 mm wide), seamless tubes & pipes (φ6–630 mm OD, 0.5–40 mm wall), precision strip (0.02–3.0 mm, ±0.005 mm tolerance), welding wire & coils (1.0–5.0 mm), forgings & rolled rings (up to 7500 kg, 3500 mm OD). Custom lengths, tolerances and machining to drawing are available on request.
What is the MOQ and lead time?
MOQ is flexible — trial orders from a single piece are welcome. Stock sizes ship in 3–7 days; custom forgings and machined parts typically 15–35 days depending on quantity and process.
Can you provide third-party inspection and shipping to my port?
Yes. SGS / BV / TUV or your nominated inspector can witness all tests before shipment. Full export documentation is provided, and we ship worldwide by sea or air on FOB, CIF or DDP terms.
