Inconel 718 (UNS N07718) is the world's most widely used precipitation-hardening nickel superalloy, strengthened by γ″ (Ni₃Nb) and γ′ phases. Below 650 °C it delivers very high yield strength plus creep and fatigue resistance, and accounts for roughly a third of all superalloy used in aero-engines and industrial gas turbines.
As a manufacturer and global exporter of special alloys since 2012, Shanghai Hangbo Alloy Group Co., Ltd. supplies Inconel 718 as round bars (φ2–600 mm, up to 12 m), plates & sheets (0.5–100 mm thick, up to 2500 mm wide), seamless tubes & pipes (φ6–630 mm OD, 0.5–40 mm wall), forgings & rolled rings (up to 7500 kg, 3500 mm OD), welding wire & coils (1.0–5.0 mm), machined parts to your drawings — all with EN 10204 3.1 certified material test reports.

Frequently asked questions
What is the standard heat treatment for Inconel 718?
The common cycle is solution treatment at 955–980 °C followed by air cooling (or 1065 °C per AMS 5662), then double ageing: 720 °C for 8 hours, furnace cool to 620 °C, hold 8 hours and air cool — about 18 hours of ageing in total. This gives the best strength/toughness balance and meets AMS 5663 properties.
Can Inconel 718 and 625 be used interchangeably?
Generally not. 718 gains high strength through ageing but is slightly less corrosion resistant; 625 offers better corrosion resistance but tops out near 830 MPa tensile. Choose 718 when strength governs the design and 625 when corrosion life and weldability govern.
What forms and sizes are available?
We supply Inconel 718 as round bars (φ2–600 mm, up to 12 m), plates & sheets (0.5–100 mm thick, up to 2500 mm wide), seamless tubes & pipes (φ6–630 mm OD, 0.5–40 mm wall), forgings & rolled rings (up to 7500 kg, 3500 mm OD), welding wire & coils (1.0–5.0 mm), machined parts to your drawings. Custom lengths, tolerances and machining to drawing are available on request.
What is the MOQ and lead time?
MOQ is flexible — trial orders from a single piece are welcome. Stock sizes ship in 3–7 days; custom forgings and machined parts typically 15–35 days depending on quantity and process.
Can you provide third-party inspection and shipping to my port?
Yes. SGS / BV / TUV or your nominated inspector can witness all tests before shipment. Full export documentation is provided, and we ship worldwide by sea or air on FOB, CIF or DDP terms.
