Hastelloy C-276 (UNS N10276) is the most widely used 'universal' corrosion resistant alloy in the Ni-Cr-Mo-W family. Its low carbon and silicon design prevents carbide and intermetallic precipitation in the weld heat-affected zone, so it handles mixed oxidising and reducing media, wet chlorine, hypochlorite and many mineral acids.
